Tokyo Stock Exchange to start carbon credit trading on October 11

The Tokyo Stock Exchange will launch Japan’s first exchange-based carbon market on October 11. The market will allow registered members to trade carbon credits known as J-Credit. This initiative is part of Japan’s efforts to tackle climate change and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
