Amid opposition demand for JPC probe, NCP chief Sharad Pawar visits Adani office, home

Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), visited billionaire Gautam Adani’s office and residence in Ahmedabad. The purpose of the meeting is unknown. This comes after Pawar had previously shown support for Adani and criticized the allegations made by US short seller Hindenburg. Adani has denied all allegations, and Pawar had previously stated his preference for a Supreme Court committee to investigate the claims against the Adani group. The relationship between Pawar and Adani goes back nearly two decades.
