LPG agency owners booked for cheating customers of Rs 5.5cr

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Pune police is investigating a case of cheating against the owner of an LPG agency and his son. They are accused of cheating customers of Rs 5.53 crore by promising high returns on investments. The agency does not have permission to take investments as per RBI norms. Nine people have filed complaints so far. The accused, a former BJP corporator, denies the allegations and claims an attempt to tarnish his image before the upcoming civic elections.
