Protests continue, minister says no objection to bandh

The Mandya Zilla Raitha Hitharakshana Samithi has decided to support the Bengaluru bandh on Tuesday in protest of the Cauvery water sharing issue with Tamil Nadu. Various organizations and politicians also joined the protests, demanding the state and Union governments and the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) to take action. The opposition parties, including BJP, JD(S), and AAP, have pledged their support for the bandh as well. The government has no objection to the bandh, as long as it remains peaceful.
