K. G. George’s funeral to be held on Tuesday

Renowned filmmaker K. G. George passed away at the age of 77 after suffering from a stroke. Survived by his wife, son, and daughter, his funeral will be held on Tuesday. Known for his critically acclaimed films such as “Swapnadanam” and “Yavanika,” George won both the National and Kerala state film awards for his debut film. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan praised the filmmaker for addressing socially responsible issues and blurring the line between artistic and commercial cinema.
