MP: No sadak, paani or bijli, this hamlet gives poll boycott call

Locals of a village in Anuppur district, India, have announced a boycott of the upcoming MP assembly polls due to the lack of development in their area. The village lacks a proper approach road, potable water, and power supply. The residents have put up posters and banners reading “no development, no vote”. The officials claim they are unaware of the situation but have promised to address the issues if approached. The village panchayat has around 2,000 voters and is located just 50 kilometers from the district headquarters.
