Amid Canada row, US ambassador to India Eric Garcetti calls for frictionless India ties

US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, defended a recent visit to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) by the American envoy to Pakistan, stating that a US delegation had also visited Jammu and Kashmir for a G20 meeting. However, Garcetti reiterated India’s position that the issue of Jammu and Kashmir should be resolved bilaterally by India and Pakistan, without the involvement of any third party.
