Paris Fashion Week opens with drama and dashes of humour

Milan Fashion Week has just ended, and fashionistas have already moved on to Paris for over 100 shows in the womenswear season. Balmain’s show is highly anticipated following the theft of 50 outfits, which forced the creative director to put together a replacement collection. This week also marks the final shows for Gabriela Hearst at Chloe and Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Paris Fashion Week is the last of the major fashion weeks, and the debut of Gucci’s new creative director in Milan gave a boost to parent company Kering’s share price.
