Dream11 moves Bombay high court against GST demand notice

Sporta Technologies, the parent company of online fantasy sports gaming platform Dream11, has approached the Bombay High Court to challenge showcause notices issued to it over a hefty GST bill. The company is facing a 28% tax on its gross value, with tax authorities arguing that it offers “gambling” services. Delta Corp, another gaming company, has also been asked to pay a significant amount in GST claims.
