Asiad: Sift Kaur strikes gold with record-breaking performance

Indian shooter Sift Kaur Samra won the gold medal in the individual 50m rifle 3-position event at the Asian Games with a world and Games record score of 469.6. Her compatriot, Ashi Chouksey, won the bronze medal, and China’s Qiongyue Zhang took the silver. Samra also set a new Asian Games record in the qualification round. In the team event, Samra, Chouksey, and Manini Kaushik won the silver medal for India. Samra’s performance highlighted India’s success in shooting at the Asian Games.
