Symptoms of dengue fever and how to treat it at home

Dengue fever, a viral illness transmitted through mosquito bites, poses a risk to half of the global population and causes millions of infections each year. India has seen a surge in dengue cases and fatalities, with four subtypes of the virus increasing the risk of severe complications. Symptoms include high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, joint and muscle pain, rash, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and mild bleeding. While some patients can be managed at home with medication and rest, severe cases require immediate medical attention and hospitalization.
