Lured by part-time job offer, techie loses Rs 48L in 2 weeks

The techie from Serilingampally said that she received a WhatsApp message on August 2 from one ‘Anaya’ offering her a job to increase the popularity of a restaurant by writing reviews on Google Maps. She was given 22 tasks in a day including 17 free tasks and five prepaid tasks. She was also told to join a Telegram group where tasks were given. “After completion of three tasks, I had to share screenshots and provide bank details for payment,” she said.
