SC judge recuses self from hearing Naidu’s plea

Justice S V Bhatti has recused himself from hearing TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s petition to quash the FIR against him in an alleged skill development scam. Naidu had to seek the intervention of CJI D Y Chandrachud for an urgent listing after the recusal. The Supreme Court registry usually lists petitions arising from the same FIR before a bench already dealing with the matter.
