The DNV2 strain of dengue virus is currently the dominant strain in circulation in the state of Hyderabad. Although it is of medium severity and does not impact treatment, severe cases are being reported due to lack of awareness and delayed treatment. Symptoms of dengue include fever, rashes, and joint and muscle pain. Those with compromised immunity are at a higher risk. Warning signs of dengue include blood spots on the skin, high fever, and fainting. Hydration is important to prevent dehydration and shock.
