Release water @3,000 cusecs till Oct 15, Karnataka ordered

The Cauvery water management authority has endorsed the recommendation to release 3,000 cusecs of water until October 15. Both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka governments argued over the poor condition on both sides, with Tamil Nadu demanding the release of 12,500 cusecs daily. The chairman of the CWMA stated that the decision was made based on the conditions, reservoirs’ position, and rainfall deficit. Karnataka government requested a suspension of release for 10 days, but Tamil Nadu opposed the request.
