Rajasthan HC refers matter of making victims party in bail pleas to CJ

The Rajasthan High Court has referred the matter of making the victim a party in bail applications to the Chief Justice of the High Court. The court has requested that this issue be heard by a division or larger bench in order to make an appropriate decision. The court has also asked the registrar to present the matter to the Chief Justice so that a division bench can decide whether the complainant or victim should be made a party in all bail petitions. There are concerns that including all victims in bail petitions could delay the decision-making process.
