US shutdown to hit F-16 training: Pentagon

A looming US government shutdown is likely to affect the training of Ukrainian pilots who are in the US to learn to fly F-16 fighter jets, potentially causing delays, a Pentagon spokeswoman said Thursday. Sabrina Singh said the specialised English-language training was underway and that a government shutdown would be the “worst case scenario” for the department of defence.
