‘Don’t glorify exam toppers; ban display of NEET & JEE results’

The Rajasthan government has issued guidelines to prevent student suicides in coaching hubs like Kota. The guidelines include mandatory aptitude tests before enrolment, keeping class test results confidential, discouraging registration of students below Class IX, and an easy exit policy for students who want to opt out. The coaching institutes have also been directed to hire clinical psychologists and career counsellors to monitor students’ mental health. The guidelines aim to reduce the pressure on students and bring about a positive change in the coaching industry.
