Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announces Rs 4,500-crore package to aid disaster-hit people

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has announced a special package of Rs 4,500 crore to aid those affected by rain-related disasters between July 7 and September 30. Of this package, Rs 1,000 crore will be allocated to the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) for the construction of retaining walls.
