Pakistan: PIA service hit as five aircraft with no engines grounded

Flight services of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been disrupted as five Boeing 777 aircraft are grounded due to engine issues. The national airline is facing a financial crisis and needs $60 million for aircraft maintenance. In an effort to address the situation, Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister has asked for the privatisation process of PIA to be fast-tracked.
