Ukraine shoots down 30 ‘Shahed’ drones made by Iran, sent by Russia

Ukraine’s air force successfully shot down 30 out of 40 Russian-made drones in an overnight attack on central and southern regions. Russia continued to target port infrastructure and critical facilities in an attempt to impact the economy. In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his desire to transform Ukraine’s defence industry into a large military hub by collaborating with Western weapons manufacturers.
