Narcotics found in 20 parcels sent from abroad

The cybercrime branch and customs department in Ahmedabad have uncovered an international drug trafficking syndicate that used a private courier to smuggle cocaine and cannabis into India. The drugs were concealed in toys, notepads, and books. A joint operation resulted in the seizure of 2.31g of cocaine and 5.97kg of cannabis, with an estimated total value of Rs 50 lakh. The syndicate was discovered to be using the dark web and social media platforms for distribution. Investigations are ongoing to identify the receivers and dismantle the network.
