40 seats at stake, parties draw battle line in south Telangana

The three main parties in the state of Telangana are focusing on southern districts ahead of the assembly polls, as these districts hold the key to 40 of the total 119 constituencies. The parties are particularly eyeing Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, and Ranga Reddy districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to kick off the BJP’s campaign from Mahabubnagar, while the Congress is also targeting this district. Erstwhile Nalgonda, considered a stronghold for the Congress, has also grabbed parties’ attention. Ranga Reddy district is another crucial area of focus.
