Udhaya’s comment on Sanatana Dharma politicised: Retd judge

Retired Madras High Court judge, Justice D Hariparanthaman, has stated that the comments made by Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister, on Sanatana Dharma have been politicized due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He argued that Udhayanidhi’s remarks should not be seen as hate speech, as they were meant to address the eradication of the caste system and varnashrama. Justice Hariparanthaman also highlighted that several leaders, including Periyar and B R Ambedkar, have criticized Sanatana Dharma in the past.
