Principal, vice-principal booked for beating boy for absence from school

The principal and vice-principal of a private school in Azamgarh district, India, have been arrested for allegedly beating up a student. The student’s father filed a complaint stating that his son was abused and beaten by the principal and teacher when he returned to school after recovering from an illness. The accused have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the SC/ST Act. They will be sent to jail after appearing in court.
