NASA’s Perseverance rover captured a dust devil on Mars’ Jezero Crater, offering valuable insights into Martian weather patterns. The dust devil was located at “Thorofare Ridge” and measured about 200 feet in width. Dust devils on Mars can surpass their Earth counterparts in size and are unpredictable. Perseverance and Curiosity rovers continually monitor for them. Perseverance’s primary mission is astrobiology and it will analyze the planet’s geology and past climate.
