Work starts on turning Adolf Hitler’s birthplace in Austria into police station

The house in Austria where Adolf Hitler was born will be transformed into a police station, in an effort to discourage Nazi sympathizers from visiting. The building, located in Braunau am Inn, will house the district police headquarters and a security academy branch. The decision to repurpose the building was made in 2019 after a long dispute over its ownership.
