Bihar caste survey: EBCs make up 36% of state’s population

According to the report, the backward class in Bihar constitutes 27.13 per cent of the population, while the extremely backward class accounts for 36.01 per cent. The survey also stated that Yadavs, the OBC group to which deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav belongs, were the largest in terms of population, accounting for 14.27 per cent of the total. The total population of Bihar is more than 13 crore.
