Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the director general of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, has been elected as an honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The induction ceremony at MIT included the signing of the ‘Book of Members’. Mukherjee expressed his gratitude and mentioned that museum education has always been a platform for a meaningful life. The academy has 261 new members, including notable figures like Salman Rushdie and Sharada Srinivasan.
