Sohna-Jaipur electric highway to have trolley bus service; Nitin Gadkari takes test ride

India’s first electric highway between Sohna and Jaipur on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway may initially be used for bus operations. The electric trolley buses would accommodate around 180 passengers and may later allow commercial trucks. The plan aims to provide a cost-effective alternative to metro systems, particularly on Bus Rapid Transit stretches.
