U’khand HC seeks govt reply in 2018 corruption case

The division bench of Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Alok Kumar Verma questioned the state government on the status of an ongoing investigation into a corruption case that dates back five years. The case involves bribery in the appointment of government school officials in Pauri Garhwal district. The court has demanded an affidavit from the chief secretary within three weeks, after completing the probe. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 23.
