Tamil Nadu: Fever cases up in Avadi, corpn steps up fogging activity

The Avadi Corporation in Chennai has increased vector control measures to combat dengue after a rise in fever cases. In September, nine dengue cases were reported, and seven cases were reported in August. So far this year, 38 cases have been reported. The corporation has increased fumigation and is sending out daily breeding checkers to households. However, some people feel that the preventive measures are not being carried out effectively, as awareness is limited to areas with reported cases.
