Caste census should be carried out throughout country: Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav

RJD chief Lalu Yadav has called for a caste census to be carried out throughout India, following the release of caste survey data in Bihar. Yadav believes that this data will benefit the poor and Dalits in the country. He also stated that when his party forms the government in 2024, they will conduct a caste-based census nationwide. The survey in Bihar revealed that the Extremely Backward Class accounts for 36.01% of the population, the general category is 15.52%, and the OBC is 27%.
