Australian farmers survey finds little more than half expect higher output

A survey conducted by the National Farmers Federation (NFF) and communications agency Seftons reveals that over half of Australia’s farmers expect the country’s agricultural output to grow in the next decade. However, livestock farmers are less optimistic. The survey also highlights frustration with issues such as supermarket pricing power, environmental laws, and poor infrastructure. Workforce shortages are also hindering farm productivity.
