Afghanistan showcased their potential in the upcoming ODI World Cup with a comfortable victory over Sri Lanka in a warm-up match. Chasing a revised target of 257 from 42 overs, opener Rahmatullah Gurbaz scored 119 while Rahmat Shah contributed 93, leading Afghanistan to a win with 23 balls to spare.
