Kishore Jena hopes to claim a medal and book Paris berth

Indian javelin thrower Kishore Jena aims to secure a place on the podium and qualify for the Paris Olympics at his maiden Asian Games. With a throw of 84.77m, Jena currently has the third-best Asian throw this year. He hopes to hit the Olympic qualifying mark of 85.50m. Jena’s coach, Samarjeet Singh Malhi, believes that Jena’s competition is with himself and advises him to focus on his own performance. Despite the pressure, Jena remains grounded and is looking forward to competing with his inspiration, Neeraj Chopra.
