Sindhu, Prannoy and Srikanth have it easy

PV Sindhu secured a comfortable victory against Wen Chi Hsu of Chinese Taipei in the second round of women’s singles at the Asian Games badminton. She will now face Putri Kusuma Wardini of Indonesia in the pre-quarterfinals. Other Indian players, including HS Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth, and women’s doubles pairs Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand and Ashwini Ponnappa-Tanisha Crasto, also advanced to the pre-quarterfinals. Prannoy will face Dmitriy Panarin of Kazakhstan, while Srikanth will face Kodai Naraoka of Japan. The women’s doubles pairs will face Korean and Chinese opponents in their next matches.
