Two failed doping tests hit Asian Games in 24 hours

Ariana Evangelista, a Philippine mountain-bike rider, has become the second reported doping case at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. She has been provisionally suspended after failing a drugs test for the banned substance erythropoietin (EPO). This comes after Saudi distance runner Mohammed Yousef Alasiri was also suspended for failing a drugs test. Afghan boxer Mohammad Khaibar Nooristani was the first known case of doping at the Games, testing positive for two banned substances.
