Cancel 2019 order on ESZ first: VD Satheesan

Under no circumstances the government’s intention to exclude the human inhabited areas from the ambit of eco-sensitive zones (ESZ) will be possible with the latest order issued by the government, opposition leader V D Satheesan said on Thursday. He said the order with regards to the decision to recommend excluding the human inhabited areas from the ESZ ambit will not hold good as it does not cancel the earlier order that included such areas under the ESZ.
