Liquor policy case: AAP vs BJP over Sanjay Singh’s arrest

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday arrested AAP MP Sanjay Singh following raids at his house in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy. Singh’s staff members and those linked to him were earlier questioned by the ED in this case. It is alleged that the Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22 to grant licences to liquor traders allowed cartelisation and favoured certain dealers who had allegedly paid bribes for it, a charge refuted by AAP.
