Woman gets ₹1.9L compensation in four hours

A woman in Pune received a compensation of Rs1.9 lakh within four hours in a pre-litigation case settled by the Pune District Legal Services Authority. The woman had claimed compensation from an insurance company after her car and house were damaged by a container truck. The case was settled through mediation, saving time and money for all parties involved. This is the first such pre-litigation case settled in Pune district after the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act came into force.
