Scientists 3-D print neural networks which can potentially revolutionize biomedicine

Scientists at Monash University have used 3D printing to create living mini-brains composed of rat brain cells. These mini-brains exhibit similar maturation and communication patterns to real brains, suggesting they could be used to revolutionize drug testing and personalized medicine. The development of mini-brains offers an alternative to animal testing, which has gained momentum in recent years.
