Hindu organisations stage protest in Walled City over death of youth

Hindu organizations staged a protest in Jaipur’s Walled City over the death of a minority community youth in a “road rage” incident. The protest accused the ruling Congress of appeasement politics and accused the Jaipur police of bias. Participants alleged increasing “terrorist activities” in the area and claimed that markets were being looted and traders threatened. The protest was attended by several BJP MPs, MLAs, and former legislators. Market associations also called for a bandh in support of the protest. The organizers demanded that compensation to the victim’s family be withheld until the police investigation is complete.
