BJP fact-finding team to visit Ragigudda today

A team of BJP functionaries, led by state party president Nalin Kumar Kateel, will visit Ragigudda in Shivamogga to gather information on the recent communal violence. The team includes former ministers and the Shivamogga MP. Police have arrested 60 people and filed 24 FIRs in connection with the incident. Hindu Jagaran Samiti members claimed it was a preplanned attack, while BJP MP Pratap Simha blamed the Chief Minister for a soft approach towards anti-national elements. The Internal Security Division of Karnataka police has launched a parallel investigation, and prohibitory orders are still in place.
