Services sector grew at faster pace in September, optimism at 9-year high

India’s services industry saw accelerated growth in September, driven by strong demand and increased optimism among businesses, according to a survey. The S&P Global India services purchasing managers’ index rose to 61.0 last month, exceeding expectations and indicating growth for the 26th consecutive month. The survey also showed that job creation remained solid and business sentiment was at its highest level since June 2014.
