Mexican President steps back on new wall building at borders ahead of key US meet

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has rejected the US plan to build a new section of wall at the US-Mexico border. He called it a “step backwards” ahead of high-level meetings with US officials. The meetings are scheduled to address immigration and security issues, but Obrador emphasized that drug trafficking, trade, and investment would also be discussed.
