Pakistan ex-PM Imran Khan approaches HC seeking suspension of trial court order in graft case

Imran Khan, the imprisoned former Prime Minister of Pakistan, has challenged the trial court’s verdict in the Toshakhana case in the Islamabad High Court. The trial court had found Khan guilty of “corrupt practices” and sentenced him to three years in prison. Although his sentence was suspended by the High Court, he remains in custody for another case related to leaked diplomatic cables.
