Maha MP booked under SC/ST Act for making dean clean toilets

Shiv Sena MP Hemant Patil, who made a hospital dean clean dirty washrooms, has been booked under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Maharashtra Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss to Property) Act 2010. He and 10 to 15 others have also been charged with IPC sections including criminal force and defamation. Patil denies making casteist remarks and says they were at the hospital to review conditions after the death of 35 patients. The dean filed the complaint leading to the FIR.
