US envoy to Pakistan visits POK, New Delhi lodges protest with Washington

India has protested against the recent visit of the US ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome, to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). This is the second time in two years that Blome has visited the region, which India considers to be under illegal occupation by Pakistan. India had raised the issue with US authorities last year as well. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson urged the international community to respect their sovereignty and territorial integrity.
