Man Singh finishes 8th in marathon

Indian runners Man Singh and Belliappa AB finished eighth and twelfth respectively in the men’s marathon at the Qiantang River Green belt. They were unable to break the national record set in 1978. China’s Ji He won the gold, followed by Ilryong Han of North Korea and Shaohui Yang of China. Man Singh’s coach stated that he was happy with his performance, considering he had recently recovered from fever. Man Singh will be participating in the Mumbai marathon in January.
